The announcement has come after the Tyneside native said he’d be on the road for the foreseeable future.
It’s been a productive 2018 for Sam Fender thus far. The English singer-songwriter has seen this be his breakout year, between the release of his debut EP and finding himself named as one of the BBC Sound of 2018 alongside the likes of Sigrid and Khalid.
He’s impressively managed to fit all this in whilst predominantly being on the road, which he’ll continue to be for the remainder of a year, fitting in a newly-announced show at The Soundhouse in Dublin in the process.
The fast-rising Fender has seen himself stand out by being a young artist that to this point has refrained from making “love songs”, opting to instead tackle topics such as toxic masculinity and sexual harassment.
His most striking work to date however has undoubtedly been the title song taken from his EP called Dead Boys, which is a track and accompanying music video that addresses and laments the growing issue of male suicide.
